Commissioner / State Fire Marshal Mike Causey asks that all Fire Chiefs log in to  https://apps.ncdoi.net/f?p=301%3A101%3A%3A%3A%3A%3A%3A
and participate in the cancer registry to collect data on the impact of firefighting cancers in the North Carolina.
HB-535 Firefighters Fighting Cancer Act 2021 was in the Health Committee this week and the committee members were asking for the data for our state. NC is the only state that does not have a presumptive  cancer coverage for firefighters and our numbers are rising. Please see the attachments for the current data and please note that you can update as many times as needed.
