Subject: Forsyth County - Civil Unrest Planning and Response Considerations for Public Safety (NC-13-001)

Civil Unrest Planning and Response for Public Safety Agencies

Overview: Considering recent acts of civil unrest and violent protests across the United States and the potential for a contentious 2024 National Election this training is being provided to credentialed first responders. Provides public safety agencies and planners an overview of current and emerging threats and what is required to plan for and safely respond to a riot or violent protest in their community.

These high-profile incidents are chaotic and fast-moving. The rapid and successful implementation of a strong Incident Command System (ICS) and Unified Command (UC) are recognized as critical tools in helping responders manage these incidents in your community.

Attendance: Current members of Law Enforcement, Fire Service, EMS, E911, Intel Analysts, and Emergency Management. Must have agency I.D./credentials to register and attend. Not open to the public or media.
