Subject: [phpr.cpc] Honeywell Product Notification for Mandatory Stop Use of two PAPR Cartridges

Good Morning Central Region Preparedness Coordinators,

I am forwarding along a message from NIOSH and Honeywell about a specific Honeywell/North brand filter cartridge for PAPRs (powered air purifying respirators).

If your agency uses a Honeywell PAPR or you know of another agency in your county’s jurisdiction that uses Honeywell PAPRs, please continue reading. If not, feel free to stop reading here and delete.

The attached letter from Honeywell contains information about 2 specific filter cartridges they are requesting customers cease using immediately.

The cartridges are identified as Part No. PA7DEHE and Part No. PA7OVAGHE. The recall pertains to these specific cartridges produced prior to November 2022. If you have any of these cartridges, please read and comply with the attached notice from Honeywell. A photo of the PAPR cartridge is shown below.
