You are receiving this email as your department has been identified as needing a scheduled Ratings inspection. Your agency may have already been notified of a scheduled date and time for an upcoming inspection. If not, your agency will receive contact later this calendar year for a lower than class 9 ratings inspection. Staff from the Ratings and Inspections section of the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal have developed an online training session to help prepare and answer questions that departments may have regarding the paperwork that is involved with a ratings inspection. This is not a mandatory meeting, but the seventeenth in a series of offerings to allow departments to participate from their location and no need to travel to a classroom setting for the same training. During this online class if you or a member of your department would like to attend the training on Wednesday May 18th, 2022, at the 3 pm or Thursday May 19th, 2022, at the 7 pm offering, just simply click the link below labeled with the time you would like to join and at the scheduled time for that course and follow the prompts to be part of the meeting.

During this training session we will cover the pre survey forms that are needed during an inspection and how to complete them – the attached forms are those that are to be completed for a ratings inspection.
