Subject: TSOP for EMT/EMR recertification
Hey Erik,
Could you forward this message out to your fire department and rescue contacts for me?
Dear Randolph County Emergency Services Personnel:
Technical Scope of Practice (TSOP) and Protocol Testing for any county personnel needing to recertify their North Carolina credentials will be held this Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Randolph Community College Robert S Shackleford Allied Health Center (606 Industrial Park Ave) beginning at 09:00. It will begin with the protocol test at the provider level, requiring a 70 as the passing grade. Then candidates will be paired up to complete two practical scenarios, one as the lead provider, the other as the assistant. Once all the steps are complete, candidates are free to go, which should be prior to 13:00.
Anyone expiring within the next 90 days can be processed and renewed in the NCOEMS Continuum website. Be sure to provide a copy of your training hours from either your department training officer or by contacting Kathy Thornburg at RCC to give a verbal release of your transcript. She can be reached at 336 633-0245. Those records need to go to Sgt Corey Lee or Sgt Crystal Pate at Randolph County EMS to be processed to ensure compliance with the Randolph County Emergency Services requirements. The office number to contact them is 336 318-6958, please leave a message if you do not speak to them directly.
This TSOP and protocol testing is valid for the 12 months prior to your credential expiration, so personnel can plan to attend any of the scheduled TSOP dates within that year timeframe. The dates for 2022 have not been confirmed, but should remain as in past years as the last Saturday of the months of January, April, July, and October. Attached is a brochure document that lists the dates and locations for November continuing education classes and the TSOP information.
