Special Note: Follow directional signs, stay in your car, roll down your car window in advance, and prepare for a nasal swab. Results will be available within 72 hours. See attached flyer in English & Spanish.

New Money Available for Businesses

JOB RETENTION GRANT

If your business or non-profit organization experienced interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the new Job Retention Grant (JRG) Program may be able to offer assistance. To qualify for this grant, your business must meet specific eligibility requirements which can be found in the link below.

 

Applications are being accepting now until September 1, 2020 at 11:59pm. No applications will be accepted after that time. No grants will be awarded before September 1, and the potential amount of each grant will not be determined until all applications have been reviewed.

What to Do

REASONS FOR BEING TESTED FOR COVID

There are a number of reasons why you may be tested for COVID-19. It may be because you have COVID-19 symptoms (see below), were a close contact of someone with COVID-19, are in a job or population with a higher risk for exposure, or are in a job or population for which routine or repeat testing is recommended or required.

 

Revised COVID-19 symptoms include:

·         Fever, chills, or repeated shaking/shivering

·         Cough

·         Sore throat

·         Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing

·         Feeling unusually weak or fatigued

·         Loss of taste or smell

·         Muscle pain

·         Headache

·         Runny or congested nose

·         Diarrhea (loose stools 3 or more times a day)

 

Attached is “Testing Guidelines and What to Do” which has additional information on what to do while waiting for test results, and what to do after test results are available.

If an employee is suspected of having COVID-19, the employee should call their Primary Care Provider (PCP) who will determine if testing is needed. If the employee does not have a PCP, they may call one of the following options (please call first to confirm):

BECOME A BOARD CERTIFIED HEALTH & WELLNESS COACH

Starting September 2, 2020, Randolph Community College is starting the 2nd Cohort Health & Wellness Coaching course to train and certify Health & Wellness Coaches. RCC's Health & Wellness Coaching program is approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) for the education and training of health and wellness coaches. This approval allows RCC's Health and Wellness Coaching graduates to be eligible to sit for the NBHWC Certifying Examination to become a Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach.
